The cold wind blew little white fluffy across the rocky mountains. The pine trees whipped their branches in the harsh wind. Snow had covered what used to be green grass. The soft crunch of the snow was drowned out by the wind. Shivering gray blue eyes looked for a place to call shelter, to get out of the bitter cold. Raising a hand to stop he glanced towards his companion at his side. Their brown hair whipped wildly in the wind causing her to fight her hair to be able to see. A small growl came from the lady's throat as she glanced at him the best she could.
"It's cold, we are wet, how much further?" She glared at him before looking around the best she could. Nothing but white could be seen and it was hard enough to see what was in front of them. "We could be going in circles and not even know it…" she whimpered softly.
"We'll be okay, there should be a cave. At least it looks like one…" he replied putting a hand on her shoulder. He then looked behind them at the others, all cold wet and shivering as they waited for his command. He gave a small smile before marching on, intertwining their fingers. "Everything will be okay.." he tried to sound reassuring but the girl just groaned.
Leading them out of the cold and into a shallow cave. They all huddled close to help keep warm. Their leader had their back to the outside helping keep as much of the heat inside. This will do for now…hopefully the wind dies down so we can at least hunt, their leader thought closing his eyes in thought.
"Why are we here Fay?" Cold green eyes watched their leader with a small growl in her voice. Her question brought stiring to the group who also murmured their agreement.
"We had to flee, if not we would all be slaughtered. I did what was best to keep us all alive. This will hopefully be a temporary domain," Fay replied looking to his mate, "The storm should die down soon."

The snow storm had caused him to hunker down in one of his little hide aways that he would use when he wasy prowling around his home keeping his pack safe. He was hunting for himself when the storm hit full force, and with him being the darkest thing outside amongst the blindingly white snow he hid himself away.
The little hide away had enough things to keep himself comfortable until the storm would die down before he could make it back to Moon Pass, Hala was probably worried about him in this weather.
He was about to settle down and try to sleep though the sounds of the harsh winds when his ears picked up something. Footsteps. And lots of them. He backed up as much as he could inside the cave so he wouldn't be spotted, just a shadow inside an empty cave, but the footsteps grew closer and closer until he watched a group of people enter his temporary home. He cursed the gods, he was outnumbered.
He slowly rose from his position, ready to scare these people with the sight of seeing a large black wolf growling at them when it hit him. Thier scent was similar to his own, were they werewolves as well? He has to decide on something at this moment before they noticed him and spring into action catching him off guard. Stepping out of the shadows he revealed himself, his long back fur blending him into the shadows making him look like he was one with the darkness with his piercing golden eyes landing on the largest one in the group, possibly thier alpha.
"What are you doing here? Your not from these parts of the woods," a growl crept up from the back of his throat as he watched them, eyes shifting to anyone who made any sudden movements.

The whole pack froze and glanced towards the back of the cave. They weren't aware that it had been occupied. One stood before the others, making sure that he blocked whos ever way from the whole pack. A low growl came from his throat as their reddish eye looked for the source of the voice. "You could say we aren't from around here, what's it to you?"
"Dariston…" came a deep voice from the front of the cave, gey blue eyes looked around in the cave. Whoever was here seemed to be alone. "We can find another cave."
"I'm not going back into that frozen stuff again," he whined not looking back to his alpha, "We are staying until the wind dies down. Even if it's not okay with our guest."

"You should listen to your alpha boy," Dan snarled bearing his teeth as the other wolf approached him. He wasn't going to have some stranger let alone a pup in comparison to his age challenge him in his own home, even if it was one of his many ones.
His ear twitched realizing what the younger wolf had said, frozen stuff. Anyone would just call it snow or hail but he didn't call it by its name. He remembered he did the same. "Your definitely not from these parts. Not even from this realm are you?" He calmed his snarling but bared his teeth showing he was not going to stand down, "your from the shadow realm correct?"
He didn't even bother to direct his questions to the younger wolf but to his alpha. He had to get to the bottom of this, Moon Pass wasn't too far in location to where they were and he knew two female wolves who would welcome them into the village, especially if they were from the same realm that boy Nights was fond of. His tail flicked to the sides watching them closely.

About to make a remark back until the wolf mentioned another world. Dariston looked over his shoulder to his alpha with a quickle look unsure how this wolf knew anything of the world they came from. Call me boy again and I'll… Dariston thought with a small growl as he cautiously moved a little closer to his pack.
"You could say we aren't from around here," Fay commented watching Dariston closely, "Though shadow realm seems more accurate." Nodding at the thought of their world, "At the moment we were forced to leave rather in a rush, we didn't know we had trespassed onto anothers territory."
The wolves behind him shifted on their feet uneasily. Trying to decide if they should bolt into the cold. They watched for their leaders signal to fall out, who knew how close this wolf's pack mates were.

Golden eyes shifted to the members of the pack that was infront of him. They were in a new and strange place, cold, afraid, possibly hungry and on edge. He sighed, his body relaxing and no longer showed any signs of anger or that he was in edge.
He retreated back into his space and came back with something I'm his jaws before throwing it to the group. On the floor before them were several pelts of fur, some looking like various shades of bear fur and two that looked like a patchwork blanket made of rabbit pelts. "Come in closer from the opening and use those to warm up. I'm afraid I don't have enough rations for a pack."
He backed away to give them some space and watched them closely sitting on the floor. If they had a destination he would at least make sure they would make it there, if not he would bring them to Hala and see what she could do for them.

The whole pack jumped when something was thrown at them. It was a while before the pack felt at ease again and Fay made the first move of touching the furs with his foot to be sure it wouldn't come alive. When he was sure they wouldn't come alive he knelt down and felt the furs. They were rough to the touch and very fluffy, taking a few he passed them around.
"Women and children should get one first," Fay stated as he then felt the rabbit furs which were more soft then the others he had felt earlier. There was a little murmurs but no big disagreements to his orders. He glanced to the wold in the back of the cave, "Thank you, we'll be out of your territory hopefully soon.."
Crossing his arms Dariston watched the wolf, 'Hopefully the white stuff will slow and we can be on our way.' he was about to close his eye when suddenly a small pup ran across his foot and towards the other wolf. Growling he jumped out and barely caught their small arm. "Can we watch the pups more closely please!" Picking up the now crying pup into his arms. He went back to his spot trying to calm to young wolf down. "Easy now, we won't be here too long." He looked to Fay who looked at them worried for a second before going back to the pelts. There weren't enough for everyone but at least some would be warm.
A woman with silver white hair hugging tightly to the bear fur around her, walked carefully around the pack until she reached Dariston's side. "I'm sorry they are just so quick at this age." She held out her hands to take the little pup, "Alex no more fussing your okay." She smiled and the pup nodded going into her arms. She then gave a small thanks before heading back to the middle of the pack.

Dan laughed internally seeing them all jump from the harmless pelts, he couldn't blame them though. He watched as the limited pelts were passed out and just as he feared there weren't enough for all of them to have one. They were enough to keep himself comfortable, not really anyone else.
Golden eyes watched as one of their pups broke away from the pack and ran towards him, seeing as it was a small child he didn't flinch or move as it approached him. What did bother him was how the boy from earlier snatched the child away from him like he was going to harm him. He said nothing but glared at him, ears twitching in annoyance, he wasn't low enough to harm a child.
"Speaking of," Dan looked to the leader of the invading pack, laying down on the cold floor and crossing his paws, "do you have any idea where your going once the storm dies down? Your not from this realm after all."

Fay crossed his arms at the thought of where they could stay. The wolf was right they weren't part of this world and he was sure they wouldn't fully grasp it either living on their own. He frowned at the thought of where the shadow creature had sent them, 'what was the point in sending us to a place we didn't know when it could have sent us any where…literally any where…'
Watching the other wolf before him he wondered what this wolf was to their pack. A scout? Or maybe they were a hunter who also got caught up in the storm and unable to find food with the harsh wind. Shaking his head he didn't wish to get off subject and be rude to answer a question with a question.
"It is true we aren't from around here, and I'm sure the food here is also different from were we come from. But the landscape I believe is the same.. a valley would suffice but without the cold would probably be too much to ask," he turned his head slightly in thought. He was sure they could get by by making houses out of some kind of material though that was different here as well.
Dariston shifted uneasily on his feet, he was getting tired of the wolf's garden fixated on him. A small tug on his sleeve slowly made him look at whom it was. Green eyes met his, their hair was covered by the pelt to try and stay warm, "Yes?"
"You should at least try to relax, we are kind of stuck here," she murmured trying to keep her voice down but in the cave there was a soft echo. "What if their pack is just outside, it could be way bigger than ours. Do you really want to fight all them?"
"If it comes to it," he snarled softly, a hand gently touching his eye patch at the thought. "Might keep us warm." He half joked only to get a glare from the girl. He then ran a hand through his hair, not wanting to make a promise not to fight the wolf before him. But the smugness of the guy was getting irritating.
"I should put you outside," she growled softly, glancing the two wolves conversing, "they are at least nice enough to give us some kind of warmth."
"I don't trust him," Dariston commented softly though he could care less if the wolf had heard them. "I'm sure I'm not the only one."
"That's not for you to decide," she growled in warning, causing the wolf to flinch slightly, "make a move and your out in the cold." She dared him.

Dan watched the Alpha, it seems like they didn't have a plan on how they would live in this new realm, only that they had to escape the shadow realm. What was going on in his old home that a while pack had to uproot themselves into a new realm.
His ears twitched as he listened to him, at the same time he heard whispers around him. "I know of some land that fits that description but because of the snow it's inhabitable at the moment. It's been snowing a lot recently."
He paused for a moment trying to ignore the threat that was that one male who obviously didn't like him, wondering if what he was about to propose was worth mentioning, but he wasn't going to let one bad apple spoil the bunch.
"If you would accept it, I could take you to my pack and they can help you get on your feet. Provide you with warmer clothing, food and shelter. They're good people. I also have someone there who can travel between the two realms sonic you need further help I'm sure she'll be happy to."

"Enough Dariston," she hissed cutting the wolf off before going to Fay, her green eyes watching him closely. Slowly putting her arm around his and gently pulling him to face her. "So what's our options?"
"We can be introduced into their pack and they can probably help us out or we find some where else. But according to…" he trailed with a small sigh realizing he didn't even get the wolf's name. Causing the female to give a small giggle at him, "I'm Fay, I'm sorry I should have said that sooner.." The lady next to him giggled more and he shot her a look.
"I'm Kenia," she looked to the wolf with her head slightly turned unsure of what to call them.

Dan blinked for a moment, not realizing that the two didn't share formalities, "you can call me Dan. It's a pleasure to meet you Fay and Kenia. I guess in the moment none of us are thinking about introducing ourselves."
Looking to Kenia he nodded, "my pack would be more than happy to help your pack with whatever you would need. We also have pups of our own so getting things for them won't be an issue as well," his eyes going to the pup that had run towards him previously.

"The other option is a valley but covered in the white…so it wouldn't really be inhabitable.." Fay finished glancing to Kenia unsure of what they should do. The pack was already cold, putting up shelter would be most difficult. 'When will it warm up? Does it ever warm up?'
"We couldn't impose on your pack…" Kenia replied staying close to Fay. "There must be another way.."
"This cave won't hold all of us, and trying to make it deeper or wider could collapse the cave. They are similar to the ones where we lived," frowning at the thought of them dying here gave him a chill.

He felt for them, they were new and didn't want to cause them any more trouble. But he knew if he introduced them to the wolves of Moon Pass they would have a better chance of surviving. With this many body's in the cave it would warm up but not lest them long, they had to think of the elderly and pups that they had with them.
"We're in what we call "Winter" it's cold, water freezes and there's snow, that white cold stuff that comes from the sky. It also means that there's less things to hunt and you have to keep warm otherwise the cold will hurt you. Staying with my pack will be your best option while we try to figure things out for you," his eyes shifted to Kenia knowing she was worried, "I can promise you wouldn't be imposing. Infact my alpha would probably threaten to kick my hide if I left you all here. She can be quiet frightening," he chuckled softly.
"Once the snow lightens up or stops compleatly I can take you there, it's not too far from here, but it is a walk because of the snow. Are you all okay with this?"

Looking to the pack behind them, Fay thought about what the wolf had said. They weren't used to these lands, or the weather for that matter. He frowned pondering it over before glancing to Kenia, "We could try, worse case.."
"I would not like to think of the worst thing possible," Kenia replied before looking to Dan. "Are you sure your pack won't mind?"
"We are joking a pack?" A girl asked over hearing some of the conversation. Golden eyes looked from Dan them to her alpha. A little nervous she stayed close to the edge of the pack.
"For now," Fay replied with a small smile before glancing to Kelarth who didn't seem thrilled by the idea. "Just think you'll have a new land to explore and relearn how to hunt."
"My skills are just fine," he grumbled Crossing his arms not too happy about the whole situation.
