"Hand it over," Nights said firmly holding out her hand to the taller male, "Nothing silver is permitted beyond this point, it's a sign of peace and trust". Syn looked down at his Nodachi strapped to his belt alongside its twin Katana. The blade was forged in silver to strike down any Werewolf that crossed his path and here he was entering a village full of them, and they wanted him to give up his only defense against them. He sighed deeply and gripped the hilt tightly. Nights stared him down and waited for his decision.
Syn sighed and handed his Nodachi over to Nights. She smiled and placed a special seal on it so only she could unsheath it. "Welcome to my village," she said before bowing before the taller male.
Syn took a step back, caught off guard with her action, "wh-what's with this all of a sudden? I've been here a good hour now".
Nights smiled "until you handed over your Nodachi you were not welcome, but in doing so its a sign of trust and therefore are welcome". syn grumbled and bowed lower than she had, "Th-thank you for having me"
Nights giggled and rubbed the taller males head as he bowed, "enough of that, let me introduce you to someone who is a big part of why you're here" she said heading deeper into the village.
Syn followed close by ignoring the stares and whispers about him as they passed. "They act like they've never seen a vampire" he muttered.
Nights ears twitched hearing him, "not many have aside from myself. The thought of encountering a vampire outside of the village scares them so much hardly anyone leaves".
"Well, the how are you that special? I know your half and everything but aren't they scared of you?" Syn asked looking from some whispering villagers to Nights.
"My mother was the previous leader before me. She was a pure werewolf born into this very village as did our ancestors, so, I have that factor working for me along with the self-sacrifice my mother made"
Syn opened his mouth to question her when the sound of bells caught his attention. A little girl with peach-colored hair adorned with bells, golden eyes like Nights and wore an oversized kimono that looked two sizes too big. The girl ran over jingling each time as she took a step and hugged Nights tightly. Only one thing crossed his mind, "is this your kid? I didn't think that you and Shade got that far in your relationship, or does she have a different father? I mean she ha your eyes but looks nothing like ol' green eyes"
Nights looked at him and shook her head vigorously, "nothing like that has happened" she admitted blushing, "she isn't my child at all though, if anything she's like my little sister"
Nights knelt in front of the girl and placed her hands on the little one's shoulders, "Nana, this is Syn, he's going to be staying with us for a while. He's the special guest I told you about"
Nana's eyes widened and ran back into the house she originally came from, poking her arm out and making odd gestures with her hand towards Nights before moving it out of sight.
Nights sighed and looked back at Syn smiling weakly, "don't mind her right now, she's one of the villagers who fear vampires, though she has her reasons, she doesn't trust them at all. She even stopped coming near me when she found out I was half" she sadly stated.
